Event description

Cindi and the Drums
bring Afro Fusion with Luxe Vocal harmonies in songs of Joy and Freedom for the dancers, the singers and the music lovers.

Cindia Luz returns to her Queendom at Shara Temple with her new band Cindi and the Drums - introducing incredible musicians from the Byron Bay sound machine. Black Moses Parker on Guitar, Shelly Brown & Maddy Monacelli on Luxe vocal harmonies, The Channon’s Brent Calcutt on shredder bass and introducing Brasiliero Marcelo Bonin on drumkit.

If you love feeling transported to another world, you will love this.

Cindia Luz is a singer and a percussionist who has played with the Legendary Roots Crew, Ricki Martin, Seal and Delta Goodrem on The Australian Voice, The Tapdogs, Hed Kandi, Tijuana Cartel, OKA, Declan Kelly and the Rising Sun and Matanza Latin Jazz, Master Epizou Bangoura, Sambole African Dance Troupe, Wahine Polynesian Troupe, ERTH, Icarus, Night Flight to Venus, Bad Girls and many more. The ‘gratitude’ highlight of Cindia’s musical journey was to charity-raise the money to donate drums and teach kids in Cambodia who were survivors of human trafficking. In Bahia, Brazil Cindia studied on the streets, played for local salsa bands and for the Pellourinho School of Dance. In Cuba, Cindia studied percussion with Pellito el Afrokaan (Cuba), Eguie Castrillo (Berklee Percussion, Boston), and Papillon Alvarez (New York). She studied and played Havana legends Lucumi, Maximino, Lazaro 'Fimba’ Moliner’, clapped clave and sang choro for countless ceremonies with Los Guiros de San Cristobal.
