Returning after a SOLD OUT DEBUT performance as Indigena - Cindia Luz and her band play spirit music channelled from Yoruba Land across time and dimensions, weaving stories of past lives unseen, calling ceremony on drums, taking listeners on a journey from heart-beat to Tribe. 

Afro-Cuban folkloric prayers sung in Luxe Vocal Harmonies, Brazilian guitar and ancient Rhythm of the Saints pre-dating the Trans-Atlantic Slave trade transport the here and now to then, unfolding in a wealth of fine musicianship and devotion to the preservation of Indigenous Culture.

Featuring covers of beloved Brazilian legends Djavan, Timbalada and the Tribalistas, as well as contemporary Afro-Cuban artists Los Ibeyis and Dayome Arocena. Interspersed with original songs and Prayers to the Orishas. Papa Eleggua the God of the CrossRoads who holds all the keys of fate and destiny, Yemaya the Goddess of the Ocean and Motherhood, and Chango the God of Lightning and Thunder, Drums and Virility.

Introducing Cindia Luz on lead vocals and percussion, who has played with the Legendary Roots Crew, Ricki Martin, Seal and Delta Goodrem on The Australian Voice, The Tapdogs, Hed Kandi, Tijuana Cartel, OKA, Declan Kelly and the Rising Sun and Matanza Latin Jazz. The ‘gratitude’ highlight of Cindia’s musical journey was to charity-raise the money to donate drums and teach kids in Cambodia who were survivors of human trafficking. Cindia studied percussion with Pellito el Afrokaan (Cuba), Eguie Castrillo (Berklee Percussion, Boston), and Papillon Alvarez (New York). She studied and played Havana legends Lucumi, Maximino, Lazaro 'Fimba’ Moliner’, clapped clave and sang choro for countless ceremonies with Los Guiros de San Cristobal. With her connection to her Padrino and Maestro Dominic Kirk in Sydney, as well as her spiritual family in Cuba, Cindia continues to learn and study, attend tambor, bembe, guiro and yuka ceremonies in her reality, heart and mind for all time.

Featuring the legendary Tina Harris on Bass and Musical Director, (El Orcheston, Keyim Ba, Cumbiamuffin, Tijuana Taxi, Buena Vista Social Show, Hedwig, Come From Away, Rocky Horror Picture Show).

Featuring Luis Piazzetta, a Brazilian guitarist, blends music and shamanic traditions. With a music production degree from Brazil's Federal University, he boasts a 15-year career as a recording engineer and arranger for over 50 albums (https://www.beyondsounds.school Medicine Music)

Featuring Nat Carey aka Valentina Brave on vocals and percussion (Mama-Kin Tender)

Featuring Shelly Brown -  a singer, songwriter, vocal coach, producer, workshop facilitator and creative educator.
She leads the Community/Gospel “Brunch Choir” in Lennox Head, and produces the acclaimed “Singing Lessons for No One” Podcast.
