Event description

The CIPS Queensland Committee welcomes all members and procurement professionals to this networking evening and presentation on supply chain challenges and how to prepare and respond to mitigate the impact of these disruptions.   

The last few years have highlighted the importance of procurement and supply chains to organisations and society in general. There is nothing in our modern world that doesn’t rely on an effective supply chain. It is inevitable that events outside of our control will bring significant challenges to effective supply chain operations.

    Brad Jeavons - Managing Director, iQI

    Bio: Brad Jeavons is an organisation improvement leader whose purpose is creating a better future economically, socially and environmentally for generations to come.     Peter Lacey - Executive Director, Policy | Queensland Government Procurement - Department of Energy and Public Works

    Bio: Peter is responsible for leading and managing the Queensland Government's centrally enabled, whole-of-government procurement policy function, focusing on frameworks, strategy, industry engagement, capability, and data and analytics. He is also the Queensland Government’s Senior Executive responsible for collaboration on the Elimination of Modern Slavery and co-led the Queensland Government’s COVID-19 Procurement Response.

    Peter chairs the Strategic Procurement Special Interest Group for all Australasian Governments.

    He is an experienced Queensland public servant and procurement professional, with over 30 years’ experience in change and category management.  He has worked for range of Queensland Government agencies, including Health, Communities, and Energy and Public Works.  He has also worked for the Commonwealth and in the not-for-profit sector.  Peter is published in the fields of procurement risk management and strategic thinking.
