Circle of Security for parents of children Birth to 8 years
Event description
Circle of Security Parenting: A relationship-based parenting program
This is an eight week program for parents and carers of children aged birth to 8 years commencing on Wednesday 18th of October and running each Wednesday until the 6th of December.
We warmly welcome infants under 6 months old to join their parents in the program. However, to ensure the best experience for all attendees, we kindly request that older children do not participate and we are unable to offer childminding services.
This course is being run in partnership with Sydney Local Health District.
At times all parents feel lost or without a clue about what our child might need from us. Imagine what it might feel like if you were able to make sense of what your child was really asking from you. The Circle of Security Parenting™ program is based on decades of research about how secure parent-child relationships can be supported and strengthened
Learning Objectives of the Training:
• Understand your child’s emotional world by learning to read the emotional needs
• Support your child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
• Enhance the development of your child's self esteem
• Honour your innate wisdom and desire for your child to be secure
Facilitators: Joanne Maloney and Sue Anderson, Early Childhood Social Workers.
