A Unique Film and First Nations Panel Discussion

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

You are invited to join us for a unique event that includes a screening of a film and a First Nations led panel discussion regarding many of the profound social, cultural, economic, legal and environmental issues affecting the health and wellbeing of Original Peoples and the Earth's living systems.

The film tells the story of how little known Vatican documents of the fifteenth century resulted in a tragic global momentum of domination and dehumanization. This led to law systems in the United States and Canada and elsewhere in the world including Australia, that are still being used against Original Nations and Peoples to this day. The film concludes with traditional teachings developed over thousands of years that provide much needed perspectives about how to be human in remembering we are a part of the ecological systems of Mother Earth.

If you'd like to be there and don't have $25, please still come, everyone is welcome!

* Proceeds raised go towards travel expenses for our visiting guests, venue hire and contractors. We also support an inter-cultural exchange for young people.
