Description

Circuit Central x Off Duty present Gillielove’s ‘Rituals’ [Traverse] EP Launch - a high-frequency link-up for Boorloo dub, tech and bass heads.

This Easter Sunday, we take over The Bird on William Street for a day-to-night ritual in the courtyard - a space for connection, movement, and deep sonic exploration. No fillers - just deep pressure, off-grid rhythms, and a crowd that knows why they’re there.

Originally from Boorloo and now based in France, Gillielove returns home with their latest EP Rituals - weaving experimental dub textures, broken percussion, and hypnotic rhythms that have resonated through Rhythmic Culture (NL), pi pi pi (NYC), and Mixmag worldwide. Expect a set that blurs boundaries and pulls you into something deeper.

They’re joined by Naarm’s boundary-pushing selector Toni Yotzi who will join Circuit Central head Gomori Trichrome for an extended 3hr b2b, alongside a full FLINTA lineup of local powerhouses featuring Montana (live) with a new dub driven set, Lia T and Wetpuddls.

This is more than a party - it’s a ritual space for Boorloo’s community to gather, celebrate, and move together.

Lineup

  • Gillielove

    Gillielove

Guided by dub sensibilities, broken rhythms, and a love of spacious sound design, Gillielove’s dj sets and productions are rooted in bass, texture, and experimentation. Their music explores the shadowy, edges of low-end frequencies and psychedelia, while their dj sets are all terrain, exploring outlier qualities in a range of genres. 'Rituals' [Traverse] marks a defining release from Australian born, Paris based Gillielove, an artist emerging at the intersection of dub, bass, and forward-thinking breaks. Gillielove reveals a collection rooted in introspection, renewal, and transformation by exploring mysticism and consciousness. Moving through weightless dub, pressure-shifting bass, and downtempo breaks, Rituals explores spiritual process and gritty emotional texture with a distinctive language. Opening with Aerial, a contemplative rhythm is found - techy, spacious, and curious, evoking inner dialogue and quiet revelation. Medispiritus follows with deep incantation, weaving pulses of call-and-response percussion with dubbed-out spaciousness. Dweller is grounded in rebirth - earthy basslines, healing chords, and an embodied sense of becoming. Completing the EP, Baroque Sunburst's label head Soreab reimagines the opening two tracks in Aerial Medispiritus (Soreab Remix) - where a tech-paced, break-infused peak-time iteration evolves into an airy yet driven rhythm that transforms introspection into motion. Ophélie contributes with a remix of Medispiritus, sculpting a slow-burn tension of witchy atmosphere where the call-and-response breathes open, grounding its spiritual pulse. Rituals is less a collection of tracks than a process - a turning inward that becomes motion.

  • Toni Yotzi

    Toni Yotzi

Toni Yotzi is a phenom: a staple of both the festival and club circuit across Australia. Her sets traverse four decades of dance music with frenetic energy and zero compromise; from neon-hued techno and prog to tripped out bass and dubstep, trap, and up-to-the-minute club tracks from the boundless fount of domestic talent she’s ingratiated with across Australia. Having played at some of Australia’s best festivals (Golden Plains, Inner Varnika, Strawberry Fields, Echo Flats, Pitch…), she also played an integral role in putting together Camp Doogs, Western Australia’s premier festival. She’s brought the same curatorial nous to coordinating Dooj parties in Melbourne. Having studied Radio at university, Yotzi felt a strong affinity with RTRFM, Perth’s legendary community radio station, hosting weekly dance program Full Frequency among others. The creative freedom afforded by community radio is a natural fit for Yotzi’s free-wheeling sensibilities, and it’s something she’s continued in Melbourne – she’s a fixture on Skylab and community radio station-turned-restaurant Hope St Radio. She’s toured internationally, performed on Boiler Room and guested on NTS multiple times, as well The Lot Radio, Beats in Space and Noods.

  • Montana (live)

    Montana (live)

Curator of the mix series Personal Space and host on skylab and radio temponaopara, Montana has recently developed a new live set focussed on deep dubby meditative sounds. We welcome her to share her new sonic exploartions ahead of a forthcoming release out on ONO Records.

  • Lia T

    Lia T

Lia T is an electronic musician and DJ based in Perth, Western Australia. They have a penchant for exploring qualities best suited for broody, smoked-out dancefloors, anything that sits within searching for a specific feeling, as well as leaning on peripheries of gentle abstractions that can be found on more personal releases in adjacent contexts. Over the years, they have shifted in and out of both areas and continue to develop a varied musical output through whatever means feels best at the time.
