A lot has happened since the community meeting held in relation to soft plastics recycling in the Illawarra in December 2022, including the formation of community group Circular Plastics Illawarra, a circular plastics research roundtable, engagement with councils and politicians, and a site visit to Shoalhaven's new plastics recycling facility.

We're inviting anyone with an interest in plastics reduction, reuse and recycling to come along to this informal lunch to swap notes on who is doing what. There are lots of community groups, researchers, council staff, government representatives and businesses who support and/or are taking action on plastics, and it's good to form some new connections and collaborations to help us make the Illawarra more circular faster.

Please bring all of your ideas and questions as we reflect on how plastics reduction, reuse and recycling is going, and how we can work together to do more.
