    Event description

Come be a part of our community of practice, where we're driving climate action through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective engagement.

Cirque du Soil’s Circularity in Action Social Meetups provide a laid-back and fun environment for individuals and businesses to collaboratively explore circular and regenerative topics. Our meet ups are roving with each one changing in location, topic, and speakers so that attendees can access places and people they may otherwise not encounter. Our next meet up will be held at Whitebark Wine! 👇🏼

    🗓️ Thursday 20th June, 2024
📍 Whitebark Wine Bar, 313 Victoria Street, West Melbourne
    🕐 5:30PM - 7:30PM

    About Whitebark Wine

Whitebark is a little wine bar and kitchen in the North-West Melbourne community and a wicked spot for cracking wines, big and small chats, cold beers, ripping food and a takeaway or two if your fridge is looking bare.

Run by partners Sandra Petrovski and Josh Upton, with the help of chef Dion Allen, Whitebark wine is an intimate venue where menus are small, drinks lists are local, the connection to the surrounding landscape and the growers and winemakers and producers is personal. Servers can tell you about the woman who made your cheese, the dude who grew the grapes for your wine, the cows who gave their lives for your dinner, without any of the pious pretension.

We'll be doing a circular initiative demo and talk by Josh Upton, from food waste upcycling magic using fermentation and pickling in small format production, to steel keg wine reuse systems and purposeful viticulture.

    What's included?

Registration includes a drink on arrival and 3 small dishes. Alcoholic and non-alcoholic options provided. All other drinks to be purchased at the bar. Please select dietary requirements when booking.

About the Circularity in Action Meet Ups

We believe that circularity isn't achieved in isolation. To truly embrace a circular economy, we must unite as a connected network, comprised of diverse doers with different objectives. This requires connection and collaboration of all moving parts. We seek to foster relationship-building between the doers and thinkers of circular and regenerative work by hosting fun and engaging social meet ups.

During these meet-ups, you'll be able to learn from circular and regenerative businesses as well as individuals who will share insights about the work they're doing. This cultivates the space to forge meaningful connections and cross-collaboration opportunities among attendees who are passionate about or engaged in circular economy initiatives.

Who these social meet ups are for

    • Community members who are working or are interested in the circular economy
    • Representatives from circular and regenerative businesses, initiatives or organisations
    • Enthusiasts of circular & regenerative topics keen on continuous learning through seeing, doing & connecting with others

    Structure & duration

Our social meet-ups typically run for approximately two hours but you're always welcome to stay longer! The format of each meet-up changes, offering different activities such as site tours, workshops/experiences, panel events, dinners or social meet-ups. Typically we'll begin the meet-up with a round of introductions before a group activity followed by group discussions. The remainder of the meetup is dedicated to informal networking and social catch ups.
