Circularity in Action Social Meet up + LoopLab Yarra Launch - Bodriggy edition

Yes yes, it's been a while. So we're back with a bigger, more epic event to bring the cosmos of circularity together. Whether you're a Circular Economy (CE) practitioner, circular business or supplier, a business working on launching circular initiatives, or simply CE-curious - Come be a part of our community of practice, where we're driving climate action through collaboration, knowledge sharing, and collective engagement.

Cirque du Soil’s Circularity in Action Social Meetups provide a laid-back and fun environment for individuals and businesses to collaboratively explore circular and regenerative topics. Our meet ups are roving with each one changing in location, topic, and speakers so that attendees can access places and people they may otherwise not encounter. Our next meet up will be held at Bodriggy's Stingray upstairs! 👇🏼

About Bodriggy

Bodriggy is a business that brews with conscience -and a natural fit and early adopter for the LoopLab Yarra community. Bodriggy Brewing Co. officially launched in 2016, calls a former LPG conversion centre on Johnston Street, Abbotsford home - a space steeped in industrial history that they've transformed into a thriving brewpub. Co-founded by Peter Walsh, Jon Costello, Anthony Daniels, and Jessica Morris, Bodriggy was their third venture together, alongside Collingwood bar Dr Morse and specialty coffee shop Plug Nickel.

Head brewer Anders Norman leads a dedicated brew team committed to crafting fresh, independent Australian beer - with ambitions go well beyond what's in the glass. Bodriggy is the first independent brewery in Victoria to achieve carbon-neutral certification, and only the second in Australia to do so - certified across all business operations and beer products under the federal government's Climate Active program. After a two-year accreditation process with carbon specialists Pangolin Associates, they've set their sights on reducing emissions by a further 30% by 2030. Their sustainability commitments span everything from sourcing glassware locally to exploring circular solutions for office supplies, and ensuring their kitchen works with local, sustainable wholesalers.

About the Circularity in Action Meet Ups  

We believe that circularity isn't achieved in isolation. To truly embrace a circular economy, we must unite as a connected network, comprised of diverse doers with different objectives. This requires connection and collaboration of all moving parts. We seek to foster relationship-building between the doers and thinkers of circular and regenerative work by hosting fun and engaging social meet ups.

During these meet-ups, you'll be able to learn from circular and regenerative businesses as well as individuals who will share insights about the work they're doing. This cultivates the space to forge meaningful connections and cross-collaboration opportunities among attendees who are passionate about or engaged in circular economy initiatives. 

Who these social meet ups are for

• Business Owners, Leaders and Community members who are working or are interested in the circular economy

• Representatives from circular and regenerative businesses, initiatives or organisations

• Enthusiasts of circular & regenerative topics keen on continuous learning through seeing, doing & connecting with others 

Structure & duration 

Our social meet-ups typically run for approximately two hours but due to a long hiatus we're going to make this a big one! Stay for one drink or stay till late - we don't mind. The format of each meet-up changes, offering different activities such as site tours, workshops/experiences, panel events, dinners or social meet-ups. Typically we'll begin the meet-up with a round of introductions before a group activity followed by group discussions. The remainder of the meetup is dedicated to informal networking and social catch ups. 

About Cirque du Soil

Cirque du Soil aka 'Circular Soil' is a circular waste focused certified social enterprise, actively addressing the missing middle in urban waste in Precincts and Multi-Unit Developments, using place based frameworks to reduce our impact on the planet.

Please note registration is essential and places are limited. This is an 18+ event only due to the nature of the venue. 

Please note we may take photographs/video at our events, please communicate if you are uncomfortable with that to a Cirque du Soil staff member at the event and we will respect your wishes.
