TERM 2 CLASSES

Aerials, Hoops, Acrobalance and Create an Aerial Act are here for starters, some weekly, some short-block or intensive classes.

All classes will run with appropriate awareness of cleanliness and social distancing, including limited numbers.

Reconnect with other women, get back into action and/or challenge yourself to learn a new skill, especially while Choir is not yet able to run safely.

WHAT'S ON?

Aerials Beginner/Intermediate
Mondays 19th April - 21st June inclusive (no class on Monday 14th June due to public holiday)
6:00pm - 7:30pm

$180 Full Term / $155 Concession

This class is perfect for beginners and intermediate students and includes skills on silks, static trapeze and Lyra.

Develop an Aerial Act
Mondays 19th April - 21st June inclusive (no class on Monday 14th June due to public holiday)
7:00pm - 9:00pm

$235 Full Term / $205 Concession

This class is aimed at those who would like some structure and support to create an aerial act, with a view towards performing it towards the end of term 2.

Aerials Advanced
Wednesdays 21st April - 23rd June inclusive
6:00pm - 8:00pm
Trainer: Louise Clark
$260 Full Term / $230 Concession

The amazing Louise Clark will teach this class in trapeze, silks and Lyra. Some time in class will be allocated for performers who wish to focus on skill development for a performance during term 2.

Acrobalance
Wednesdays 21st April - 23rd June inclusive
7:00pm - 9:00pm
$235 Full Term / $205 Concession

Otherwise known as the fine art of standing on your friend…. Acrobalance is the circus art of creating partner balances and acrobatic skills with two or more people. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we ask that people enrol in the classes with a friend who they would like to work with. Please contact us if you are interested in participating but aren’t sure who to work with and we’ll see if we can help you connect with someone.

Aerials with a Bit Extra
Thursdays 22nd April - 24th June inclusive
11:30am - 1:00pm
$200 Full Term / $170 Concession

This class focuses on aerials but does include a taster of other circus skills each week.

Handstand Workshops
Beginners Intro to Handstands
Friday 30th April - 5:30pm - 7:00pm
$25 Full / $20 Concession
This class is for anyone keen to try out handstands but who would like a more gradual introduction.

Handstands with Louise Clark
Fridays 7th & 14th May - 5:30pm - 7:00pm
$50 Full / $40 Concession
Come and learn the basics of handstand with the amazing Louise Clark.

HOOPS
Saturdays 24th April - 26th June
11:00am - 12:30pm
$180 Full Term / $162 concession

Come get your hoop on with Sarah each Saturday! This class explores the technical, creative and dance elements of hooping in a fun and supportive environment. New tricks are learnt with an emphasis on finding your individual style and connection to this captivating circle.
We include conditioning and flexibility and will work on a little hoop choreography over the term. This class caters for absolute beginners as well as experienced sisters. Casual drop-ins are also welcome.

NEW TO CIRCUS WOW? Welcome! Circus WOW is a membership based community group for women 18+. An Annual Membership fee of $10.50 is required for participation in all classes and workshops. Please purchase a $10.50 Circus WOW 2020 Annual Membership ticket in addition to your class booking(s). Please also complete this consent and medical screening form HERE before classes start.

EMERGENCY CONTACT: Required when booking a class. We have seen medical emergencies occur in both physical and not-so-physical classes. An emergency contact helps your trainer to support you in the unlikely event that a medical emergency occurs.
