Event description

Monitoring programs vary across the Reef. Many people are familiar with one or two programs but lack knowledge, understanding and opportunities in others. The Citizen Science and Reef Leadership Workshop is an educational and inspiring opportunity enabling enthusiastic and passionate individuals to participate in multiple monitoring programs in the Great Barrier Reef.  The workshop will enhance your ability to participate in citizen science programs including Reef Check Australia, the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authorities Eye on the Reef program and the University of Queensland’s Coralwatch program. You will also have an opportunity to connect with yourself and the Reef at the beautiful Orpheus Island Research Station on the Great Barrier Reef as part of Reef Ecologic’s  Integrated Coral Reef Citizen Science Program, funded by the partnership between the Australian Government’s Reef Trust and the Great Barrier Reef Foundation.
