Escaping the Innovation Trap

Subiaco Tech Talk lands at Quello Bar on Thursday 11 June for a one-off Lunch and Learn built for the people shaping WA's resources future. Founders, operators, technologists and innovators working at the intersection of mining and tech.

This month's keynote: Ian Olson, Co-Founder and CEO of Pointerra (ASX: 3DP). A Subiaco-headquartered company turning massive LiDAR and 3D data into operational intelligence for some of the world's biggest mining and infrastructure operators.

Escaping the Innovation Trap: Why Mining Tech Stalls and What It Takes to Scale

Ian has sat on both sides of the innovation conversation in Australian mining. As a technology founder trying to drag a genuinely transformative product off the POC treadmill and into operations at scale, he's seen the procurement traps, the IT gatekeepers, the site champion who retires, and the pilot that delivers results and still goes nowhere.

If you've ever wondered why the best technology doesn't always win in resources, this is the session.
