Event description

Join us to launch the CitySwitch Net Zero Pathway.

CitySwitch is entering an exciting new phase to accelerate business towards net zero. This decade is crucial to climate action and the program is scaling up its impact via the delivery of a new pathway model.

The net zero pathway will guide your business through the challenge of reducing and offsetting emissions. It identifies a series of actions to simplify the journey, including a focus on engaging your team. The program, including events and resources, is designed to be flexible, learning focused and provide practical information. CitySwitch has over a decade’s experience building networks and sharing best practice in sustainability across sectors. This will remain key to the program. Don’t forget it’s also free for business to sign-up.

To celebrate the launch, we’re inviting you to afternoon tea at Town Hall House, Sydney. We welcome all office-based business, including existing signatories and potential new ones, to come along and hear more about the net zero pathway.

The afternoon's agenda will include:

Ninostchka Titchkoksky is the co-CEO and recently presented in the Powerhouse’s 100 Climate Conversation series. She will speak to their exciting new project and tell us more about how their net zero ambitions play out as a business.

  • Net Zero Program Overview, including next steps for signatories to sign-up.

CitySwitch will present on the new model, why we’re undertaking this shift and what it means for businesses involved.

  • Case study from our first signatory on the net zero pathway – ING Bank Australia

ING is the first signatory to commit to the pathway and nominate their focus areas for the year ahead. Freya Paterson, Sustainability and Community Partnerships Manager, will speak to their sustainability journey and commitment to CitySwitch.

Freya is an ESG strategist with 16 years’ experience inspiring change around a range of social and environmental issues in Australia, APAC and the United States. At ING, Freya is collaborating with colleagues in Australia and worldwide to deliver on the bank’s commitment to achieve a world with net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.

The presentations will be followed by afternoon tea and an opportunity to share thoughts and net zero ambitions with your fellow signatories.
