Event description

Singer-songwriter Clare Hudson is serving up an afternoon cocktail of jazz, soul, pop, and folk—shaken, stirred, and unapologetically original!

With a voice that’s equal parts soulful and jazzy, Clare’s captivating storytelling will take you on a journey through her first headline show of 2025: ‘Growing Pains.’

Having migrated from Lutruwita (Tassie) to Magandjin (Brisbane) in 2018 to chase her music dreams (and rack up a hefty HECS debt), Clare’s songs trace the highs, lows, and “what the heck” moments of growing up in 21st-century Australia.

From Barbie doll experiments gone wrong to climate-change-fuelled existential crises, Clare’s songs pack as much punch as her vocal chops.

Inspired by the likes of Missy Higgins, Ella Fitzgerald, and Dami Im, Clare blends her heartfelt originals with classics like ‘Feeling Good’ and ‘Everyone’s Waiting’—plus her soon-to-be cult hit, ‘Barbie’ (not to be confused with the Margot Robbie film).

She’ll be backed by a killer band:

🎹 Peta Wilson on keys

🎸 Dave McGuire on guitar

🎻 Dr. Bob on bass

🕓 Music kicks off: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM (with an opening set from Kaeja Hope!)

🎟️ Tickets: $25 + bf (online) | $30 at the door

🪑 Limited seating—come early if you want to snag a chair!

Grab a drink, browse the venue’s vintage shop, and settle in for an afternoon of unforgettable tunes and storytelling.

See you there!
