Clarence Community Clubs Open Forum

Clubs Tasmania is hosting an open forum for clubs across the Clarence City Council region. This is an opportunity for clubs to come together and speak openly about the issues, challenges and costs they are facing within the Clarence Council area. In particular, we are hearing from clubs and the impact on community clubs in the Clarence City Council Region. Before this meeting we would like to hear from you with your issues.

If you are willing to share could you please send us the following information by Friday this week:

• Ground hire costs your club currently pays (last 3-4 years- to see the increases)

• Clubroom/facility hire costs (last 3-4 years- to see the increases)

• Any other significant increases in these costs over recent years

• What your club would normally receive each year from political/elected-member signage at your club

• Any other council-related costs or issues you believe are impacting your club

The more information we can gather, the better we can understand the collective position of clubs across the region.

The forum will provide an opportunity for clubs to hear what other organisations are experiencing, discuss the common issues and consider how clubs would like to collectively respond to these matters. We encourage as many Clarence club Presidents or Secretaries as possible to attend. If you are happy to share your club's figures or information before Friday, please send them through to us.
