Clarence Jazz Festival 2024: Frogmore Jazz Lounge Session one - CJF & Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival present Sasha Gavlek Quartet (MEL/ ADL/ HBA)
Event description
CJF & Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival present: Sasha Gavlek Quartet (MEL/ ADL/ HBA)
We kick off our popular Jazz Lounge Sessions with reliably the Festival’s most prolific musician, Sasha Gavlek, who will present original work accompanied by old friend Gus Leighton, and new friends Stella Anning and Holly Thomas, as part of our brand new cross-Strait partnership with the Melbourne International Jazz Festival.
Each year, we offer premium, ticketed gigs at the Clarence Jazz Festival Jazz Lounge at Rosny Barn, where audiences can sink in and absorb truly world class musical offerings in an intimate, high end setting.
This year we are thrilled to have partnered with Frogmore Creek to bring some of the finest wines in the world from the Coal River Valley, right here in Clarence, to the eponymous Frogmore Jazz Lounge.
Feature on: New Partnership between Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival and CJF
We are incredibly proud to announce our new musician-exchange partnership with the Melbourne Women’s International Jazz Festival. Each year in December we will support a different woman or minority gender musician to travel to the MWIJF to collaborate and present new work with mainland musicians. They’ll then bring their new project down to us for presentation at the Clarence Jazz Festival! This new partnership will help develop strong ties across the Bass Strait with our colleagues on the mainland, as well as helping to advance the careers of our formidable women and gender diverse musicians.
