Class with Bec Jensen
Event description
Start your winter week with a climb into curiosity.
Join dancer, choreographer, and teacher Bec Jensen for class on Monday nights at Temperance Hall this August.
Following on from Brooke Stamp's July series, these classes will keep the fire burning and allow our community to connect and share energy in the colder months. The tone is inquiry, movement research, sensing and taking/making time.
Led by Bec, these Monday night classes will include a guided warm-up, explorations of prompts and movement proposals, and reflections on what it is we are doing. Over two hours, participants will have plenty of time for deep diving: moving through, over, and under new ideas and physicalities. Alongside dancing, Bec will sometimes invite the group to talk and read together.
Suited for professional dancers and practitioners who are interested in moving, Bec will bring her extensive embodied archive and experience to the space for all to enjoy.
"I see this as an opportunity to open up, build upon, colour, and reconnect with our various movement practices in a situation outside of morning class and creative processes where we are often working toward specific outcomes. I want to create a frame for solo deep dives and parallel play, where we influence and inspire each other.” — Bec
Class with Bec: Mondays at Temperance Hall, 18:00 - 20:00, 5 - 26 August 2024
