Event description

The search is on for Australia’s funniest teens!

Melbourne International Comedy Festival's one-of-a-kind national comedy competition for young people, Class Clowns aims to inspire, engage and elevate teens aged 14 to 18 (Year level 9 to 12). It’s free to enter and all students need is a three to five minute original act in any style of comedy. Selected performers will go on to the state finals with the winner invited to the national grand final.

For more than two decades, Class Clowns has helped hundreds of funny, young peeps hone their comedy potential.

Past participants like Joel Creasey, Annie Louey, Rhys Nicholson, Aaron Chen and William McKenna have gone on to have a career in showbiz and the Melbourne International Comedy Festival is always on the look-out for the next generation of funny people.
