    Event description

Class Clowns aims to inspire, engage and elevate teens aged 14-18 who are hoping to flex their funny bone and get into comedy.

All you need is 3-5 minutes of original comedy material of any genre. Stand-up, sketch, narrative, solo, group, musical, physical – all are welcomed.

Heats are held around the country and comprise a 2-hour workshop where students rehearse and refine their act with the help of a professional comedian, followed by an opportunity to perform for a live audience!

The funniest entrants go on to compete in state finals, with the winners invited to participate in the National Grand Final during the Melbourne International Comedy Festival!

The winner will earn themselves a sweet $1,500 cash prize and a workshop package for their school.

If you’re a funny teen, or the teacher, parent or guardian of one, visit the Class Clowns website to register and to learn more.
