Classic Wallabies South Africa Lunch

Event description

On Saturday September 3, the Wallabies take on the reigning world-champion Springboks in Sydney as part of The Rugby Championship.

2022 marks 30 years since South Africa returned to international rugby, when the Wallabies embarked on the 1992 tour to South Africa for four matches including one test - the first test between the two nations in 21 years - in which the Wallabies were victorious 26-3.

So on Friday 2nd September we invite you join MC Morgan Turinui, guest speakers Nick Farr-Jones, David Campese and Tim Horan, plus a host of Classic Wallabies from that 1992 team and other eras, for a truly memorable celebration of the 30 year anniversary of the 1992 tour, and the great rivalry between the two nations that has intensified since then.

Will Genia and Ned Hanigan are also joining us, to share their experience in Wallabies gold and to preview the upcoming test.

Join us at the stunning setting of venue 12-Micron, a reasonably intimate venue limited to just 200 guests, overlooking Sydney Harbour at Barangaroo. You'll enjoy a three course banquet menu, 3.5 hour beer & wine beverage package, lots of laughs and a classic afternoon catching up with colleagues, clients and friends ahead of the only Sydney test at the all-new Allianz Stadium in 2022.

Proceeds from the long lunch go to supporting the Classic Wallabies' grassroots rugby clinics in clubs right around Australia, with a special focus on those regions most heavily impacted by drought, bushfires, COVID-19 and more recently floods.
