We’re incredibly lucky to host a last-minute show with Claudio Rabe’s band, FAKA — direct from Madagascar!
If you caught them at Woodford Folk Festival or their sold-out set at It’s Still a Secret, then you already know: this band brings rhythm, soul, and energy that moves the whole room.
Their scheduled Gold Coast show was unfortunately cancelled, but thanks to the generosity of Tanuki Lounge, we now have the chance to experience this world-class band in an intimate West End setting — this Friday night.
Why Donate?
The band is self-funding their Australia tour, covering international flights, visas, food, and more. All proceeds go toward helping the musicians send money home to their families in Madagascar. Your support truly matters.

Claudio Rabe:
Claudio Rabe is a genre-defying sonic force, originally from Madagascar and now based between France and Réunion Island. His electrifying sound fuses traditional Malagasy rhythms with rock, funk, and electronic elements—delivering high-energy live performances that are both immersive and deeply rooted in culture.
Claudio’s explosive Australian debut at Woodford Folk Festival 24/25 marked a major turning point, quickly followed by a sold-out headline show at It’s Still a Secret in Brisbane. His latest EP, Mosary, is a powerful showcase of his ability to transform ancestral influences into modern, dancefloor-ready anthems.
Now signed to Yama-Nui Records, Claudio returns to Australia in 2025 for a national tour with stops at BIGSOUND, Festival of the Winds, and a run of high-impact shows along the east coast. His live sets are hypnotic and rhythm-forward—where traditional percussion collides with modern grooves in a celebration of movement, identity, and connection.
Broden Tyrrell:
Broden Tyrrell has been a musician from birth. His upbringing revolved around a musical family whose roots lay deeply in Aboriginal Land. Growing up on country, soul and Aboriginal rock has shaped his current relationship with music. Passed through his roots, his voice carries depth and resilience. The kind of voice that makes you cry with a burning heart whilst a shy smile sticks to your face. The kind of love Broden has for music helps you see all the love the world has to offer. Broden has spent much of his career in multiple projects touring nationally. National tours with Tiana Khasi, Los Caracoles, In The Element
