Have you always wanted to learn how to create with clay?

Whether you’re a complete beginner or already have some experience, this class is perfect for you!

Come and enjoy a relaxing few hours of making, the perfect way to create lasting memories and lasting pieces you will cherish.

Teachers Petra Meme and Elizabeth Peat (of Miss E Pottery) have many years of ceramic experience between them. This class combines their favourite learned techniques and is designed to teach you hand building fundamentals that will help you to develop your skills and style.

During this class, we will guide you through the creative process of making a hand built handled coffee/tea mug. You can expect to make 1-2 pieces.

After the class, we will glaze your pieces with a glaze of your choosing (preference taken during the class), and kiln fire your pieces. Once they are ready approx. 4 weeks later, we will post them to you (postage cost included in workshop fee). Please ensure you provide a valid residential or PO BOX address upon registration so that we can ensure your pieces get back to you safely.

Price includes clay / materials & equipment / firing cost / postage upon piece completion.

Please Note: Clay can have a mind of its own and may crack or warp in the kiln. Please keep in mind that we cannot guarantee your piece(s) will turn out perfectly.

Guests will receive a complimentary festival cocktail - a Moreton Sunrise, made with Lacey's Hill gin. If preferred, guests may prefer to substitute this for a complimentary beer, wine or soft drink.

Masterclasses are hosted at the Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival at the Masterclass Marque, proudly presented by Laceys Hill Distilling Co.

Please note: the ticket price includes entry to Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival for the relevant day. You will not need to purchase a separate ticket to gain entry to the Festival.
