Create Your Own Sculptural Clay Bust: A Two-Day Hands-On Workshop
Event description
Discover the art of transforming a simple slab of clay into an expressive, figurative sculpture you’ll be proud to display in your home.
Have you ever wanted to take your 'clay play' beyond the pots and vases and make your very own stunning sculpture?
No prior experience is necessary—this workshop is perfect for beginners and anyone who loves to explore new forms of creativity.
What to Expect
Come and get hands-on in this two-day sculptural clay workshop with friendly Northern Rivers artist, Belinda Wearne, as she gently leads you through the process—start to finish. You’ll be supported every step of the way, learning to shape a simple slab of clay into a unique, expressive bust you’ll be proud to call your own.
Your very own stunning masterpiece will look beautiful in your home!
What You’ll Take Home
- Your Own Masterpiece: A once-fired clay bust that’s entirely yours, from the first slab to the final touch. It’s more than an artwork—it’s a statement, a keepsake, and a story waiting to be told.
- Skills That Stick: Learn practical techniques you can use again and again, whether it’s sculpting another bust or diving into an entirely new clay project. You’ll leave with tools for creativity—and the confidence to use them.
- Unexpected Moments: This workshop is full of those “I can’t believe I did that” moments. Whether it’s the curve of a cheek or the texture of a finish, you’ll find joy in details that surprise and delight.
- Connections That Inspire: Spend two days with like-minded people who, like you, are here to create, explore, and discover something new. It’s not just about what you make—it’s about the stories and laughter along the way.
- A Taste of Transformation: Watch as raw clay transforms in your hands and again in the kiln. There’s something magical about seeing your vision take shape and knowing it’s only the beginning.
Imagine this...
A friend walks into your home,
stops in their tracks, and asks,
“Where did you get that incredible sculpture?”
And you get to say, with pride,
“I made it!”
From shaping the initial form to adding expressive details, you’ll be supported every step of the way, creating a unique bust that reflects your imagination.By the end, you’ll not only have a beautiful piece to display but also the confidence and skills to keep exploring your creative potential.
The workshop will take place over 2 days: Saturday, 18th Jan, 10am - 3pm and Sunday 19th Jan, 10am - 3pm 2025 (NSW Time)
