Discover the art of wheel throwing in this four-week hands-on pottery course. Have a go at throwing on the pottery wheel with experienced instructor Nick Summers. Learn about wedging, throwing, centreing and turning. Learn foundational techniques for shaping and forming clay on the wheel, from centering to finishing. Perfect for beginners and those looking to refine their skills. Create beautiful and functional ceramics.
A founding member of Art Central, Nick Summers has a lifetime interest and practice in community arts. He has designed and produced numerous posters, murals, signs, paintings, and artifacts for hundreds of different community and government organisations, businesses and individuals. Nick completed a three-year full time Diploma of Visual Arts at the ANU, majoring in Ceramics. Nick has a wide range of training and interests, he is an experienced public speaker, performer and advocate. Nick is an accredited Mediator.
