You are invited to a clay-making workshop on Saturday 25 March from 11pm–1pm at the University Gallery, Callaghan.

You will be served light refreshments while you get immersed in the workshop led by Rena Shein, a visual artist and art psychotherapist, who will guide workshop participants to make a nest and eggs as pictured in the stunning bark canoe, originally made for rîvus, the 23rd Biennale of Sydney.

The clay-making workshop is shaped by artist and storyteller Uncle John Kelly’s Dunghutti story of the King of the Birds, which is a part of the current exhibition Dunghutti bul bul on display in the University Gallery. John Gurri Kelly’s works tell of ancient lore, stories and traditions from people that have lived on Dunghutti country on the Mid-North coast for centuries.
