Clay vase workshop
Description
Create a stunning clay vase using hand building techniques, textures and pressed shapes. Around 5 weeks after the class these will be fired and glazed using the glaze option of your choice, creating a gorgeous art piece to display in your home or gift to another. The vase size is approximately 15cm x 12cm and will be water tight once glazed so you can display your favourite flowers with style. Glaze options are emerald green, midnight blue, deep purple, honey or clear.
Working with clay is good for the soul! Immersing in a gentle creative activity helps to switch off a busy mind, and making these is fun, relaxing and achievable even if this is your first time using clay.
The venue is upstairs in the beautiful Alfred Memelink Artspace gallery where we will create overlooking the sea and surrounded by stunning art works. Please note that there is no lift access.
Price includes all materials, glaze and double firings. Everything is provided so all you need to do is turn up ready to have some fun and creativity.
Tickets are non-refundable but fully transferable to a friend.
Absolute care and expertise is taken with firing and glazing each piece but please note that the nature of clay and kiln firing can be unpredictable, carries a risk and glaze variations can happen (which is part of the excitement too!).
