Join us for a one-night fundraising concert celebrating CLEO, a bold new musical by Christchurch composer Alexandra Hope Watson bringing Cleopatra VII’s story to life on stage, supporting its journey to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe this August. Every ticket sold goes directly to helping take this ambitious production to an international audience.

Featuring a curated selection of songs performed by outstanding Christchurch singers, this concert offers an intimate first glimpse into a powerful reimagining of Cleopatra VII from teenage queen to one of history’s most formidable political leaders. This is not a tale of seduction, but of strategy, resilience, and agency. Navigating exile, shifting alliances with Julius Caesar and Mark Antony, and the looming power of Rome, Cleopatra fights to reclaim her throne, protect her children, and assert her place in history.

We are offering flexible pricing so everyone can attend. The minimum ticket price is $15, but we encourage those who can, to contribute more to help fund the production. Families, friends, and supporters are welcome. Your ticket ensures CLEO can take the stage in Edinburgh, sharing her voice with the world.

Experience the power, passion, and courage of a woman who will not be silenced. Come for the music, stay for the story, and be part of making history with CLEO.
