Event description

Leading Climate Adaptation

Leadership in climate adaptation is essential. Organisations in Australia face challenges like higher insurance premiums and limited market access due to insufficient sustainability evidence. Join our exclusive 2025 workshop in Launceston on 3 July to enhance your climate mitigation strategies and prepare your organisation for a sustainable future.

About the workshop

Our leadership workshops equip participants with the knowledge and tools to tackle climate challenges and drive sustainability initiatives within their organisations. Led by Dr Tomas Remenyi and Steve Willing, the program explores Tasmania-specific climate projections and their impact on business operations.

Key topics include corporate climate risks such as market access, insurance premiums, and financial pressures linked to sustainability and emissions reporting. Participants identify relevant United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs) and develop practical strategies to mitigate risks.

Interactive discussions and real-world applications help leaders overcome barriers to action, identify spheres of influence, and implement adaptive strategies. The day concludes with a climate panel featuring insights from industry experts, followed by a networking event with the Tasmanian community to deepen connections and foster collaboration.

By joining, leaders gain actionable tools and invaluable perspectives to confidently navigate the evolving climate landscape.
