Climate action begins at the kitchen door

Catherine Francis is a Kitchen Garden Advocate, Exhibiting Multidisciplinary Artist, ABC South West Victoria Gardening Presenter, Yoga Teacher, Civil Celebrant and retired Secondary Art teacher from Portland.

She is an active member of the Portland Community Garden, grows most of her household vegetables and herbs. She believes healthy kitchen gardens can reduce environmental impacts while improving food security and well-being.

With warmth and real life experience she inspires and educates people in growing food , supporting biodiversity and building resilience in our communities to make a meaningful difference in our climate.
