From the team at Environmental Accounting Services comes an informative, open lecture on how greenhouse gas emissions are accounted for in the agriculture sector, the relevance of New Zealand’s emissions trading scheme and the current understanding of the land sector emissions levy and removals payment proposed in the latest He Waka Eke Noa report.

There are still many unanswered questions around how landowners will be asked to report on agricultural emissions. One thing we can be sure of is that the sooner we understand greenhouse gas emissions on-farm – what they are, where they are coming from, and how much we are emitting – the better positioned we will be to mitigate these emissions if required.
