Climate change is visible and tangible to all, not the least through skyrocketing insurance premiums. How do Gippsland businesses, industries, agriculture and households need to adapt? What initiatives are underway in Gippsland and elsewhere that we might emulate?

Our guest speaker, Dr Jessica Reeves, lecturer and place-based sustainability science researcher at Federation University, will explore this topic. With a background in geology, she is passionate about the interplay between humans and their environment through time – including recent industrial pollution and long-term human modification of landscapes. She is particularly interested in elevating community voices around environmental stewardship, incorporating multiple ways of knowing place. She teaches and conducts research at the Gippsland Campus of Federation University Australia. (more)

Join us at 7.30pm on Monday 4th August at the Bond Street Event Centre. Registration is required.

Note: In the interests of free and open discussion, paying for your ticket is your choice but we do welcome payments if you can; this will help cover the cost of the venue and support our campaigns for stronger climate action.
