LIVE WEBINAR!

Join PSC live as we unveil a world-first Climate-Aware Capability Framework for mental health practice.

Learn how the Framework supports practitioners to respond confidently and compassionately to the mental health impacts of the climate and nature crisis.

Developed and presented by PSC to strengthen climate-informed practice, resilience and care.

What we’ll explore

  • Why climate-aware practice is now essential across mental health settings

  • The eight core capabilities that underpin effective, ethical climate-aware care

  • The Framework’s developmental structure: Me, We, Us, All, from personal grounding to collective and systemic practice

  • How inner work, relational practice and community care are inseparable in this field.

  • How the Framework informs PSC’s new professional development course, Climate-Aware Mental Health: Foundations for Practice

This session offers a guided entry into the Framework: why it exists, how it works, and what it makes possible for practitioners working at the intersection of mental health, climate disruption and care.

It is designed as a clear, generous orientation, supporting you to understand the Framework, explore whether it aligns with your practice and glimpse the emerging edge of climate-aware care.

We’ll share the launch of our new online PD course Climate-Aware Mental Health: Foundations for Practice. This course follows our Capability Framework and features videos, experiential practices and resources to support your professional and personal climate journeys.

Whether you are new to climate-aware practice or already working at the forefront, this session offers clarity, depth and a shared language for the work ahead.

As climate change intensifies and communities experience growing loss, disruption and uncertainty, practitioners increasingly meet clients expressing eco-anxiety, grief, despair and solastalgia—yet few have received training to respond confidently to these emerging challenges.

Our Framework identifies eight capabilities that encompass core knowledges, approaches, tools and sustainable practice for climate-aware mental health care. It supports growth at every level of capability and outlines the developmental progression:

Personal Foundations — Me

Relational Practice — We

Community Transformation — Us

Relational Grounding — All
