Psychology for a Safe Climate (PSC) is a not-for-profit organisation founded in 2010 in Melbourne, Australia, to foster emotional engagement with climate change. PSC was founded in response to the lack of individual and community commitment to address the climate emergency.
We aim to increase understanding and engagement with the psychological impact of climate change.
Purpose
Our purpose is to support people in facing the reality of the climate emergency. We aim to build community capacity to respond constructively to climate change by promoting and strengthening mental health and wellbeing.
We engage with those working and volunteering in organisations on climate change, the caring professions, and the broader community.
Events
We provide training and workshops to offer emotional support to climate activists and teams working in sectors affected by climate change (environment, sustainability, etc), and for psychologists and other mental health professionals working at the intersection of climate change and mental health.
We also present community workshops and talks, all with the aim of helping to foster emotional engagement with climate change.

It will be assumed that registrants can attend the new date, unless we are advised otherwise.
