Silvia Purdie runs Conversations Seminars, a small independent training provider. She has a private practice in counselling and supervision - a full member of NZCCA and an ordained Presbyterian minister. She lives in Upper Hutt with her husband, an Army Chaplain. She writes, researches and teaches extensively in the areas of mental health, pastoral ministry, supervision, and has a particular interest in the human impacts of climate change.

Her published books include: Awhi Mai Awhi Atu: Women in Creation Care, and Moving On: Grief in Ministry Transitions.
