Climate Café Facilitator Learning Circle 2026

Previous participants of PSC’s Climate Café Facilitator Training are invited to continue the learning journey in Climate Café Learning Circles.

Café Facilitator Learning Circles are a quarterly gathering of Climate Café facilitators from across Australia who meet as peers to support each other in our practice of Climate Café facilitation. These 1.5 hour sessions will:

• Explore together the gifts, challenges and questions that arise around facilitating Climate Cafés

• Celebrate, update and share stories of the Climate Café program from around the country

• Connect with like-minded others, get inspired, receive support and deepen in your practice and understanding of Climate Café facilitation

Our peer to peer learning sessions for Climate Café Facilitators have been running since 2023 and we've been delighted to facilitate many vibrant and helpful conversations with emerging and experienced Climate Café facilitators. 

Topics that may be discussed:

• Facilitation of Climate Cafés in disaster-affected communities.

• Intergenerational conversations

• Framework of the Climate Café Model and Best Practice

• Finding a co-facilitator

• Managing grief in a Climate Café

• Personal preparedness to facilitate a Climate Café

• How to sustain a regular Café

• Community information events that support Café participation

The session runs from 6pm - 7.30pm AEDT (check the corresponding start time if you're not in the south/eastern states of Australia.)

Pre-requisites

To attend our Climate Café Learning Circle, you must have attended some form of Climate Café facilitation training (it doesn’t have to be PSC-run training).

PSC Members: sessions are FREE using your Member Discount Code*

Non-members: $25 per session.

Climate Café Facilitator Training Alumni : if not PSC members - can access TWO FREE learning circles using a code provided in follow up emails after the training. Please reach out if you can’t find the relevant code info@psychologyforasafeclimate.org

Places are limited. You are welcome to book on the day if places are still available but we encourage you to register in advance. If your availability changes, we greatly appreciate it if you can advise us or cancel your booking, so that we can make your place available to someone else. Full refunds will be given on paid tickets, if notified 7 days prior to the event.
