Climate Change Impacts - Mornington Peninsula coastal fieldtrip

Join our expert presenters to explore the dynamic nature of the Mornington Peninsula coastal and marine environment, focusing on climate change impacts and mitigation solutions. This is a day trip from Melbourne by bus, unless you live on the Mornington Peninsula and wish to join the bus at McCrae.

Dr James Driscoll (Director of STEM Outreach at Monash University) and coastal geomorphologist Rob Gell AM (President of The Royal Society of Victoria) will lead a full day hands-on fieldtrip to consider coastal processes and the dynamic interconnections between land, sea and atmosphere at sites along the Mornington Peninsula. We will also explore the socio-economic impacts of climate change on coastal communities and consider the effectiveness of adaptation and mitigation strategies.

DEPART: 8.00am from The Royal Society of Victoria (8 La Trobe St Melbourne) - Free Parking available onsite
