Extreme Heat has become a growing and urgent challenge across the globe, raising serious issues for Climate Justice. How can we use the law to address these justice issues, and what are some of the challenges of doing so?

In this Online Event hosted by Monash Law's Climate Justice Lab and BCCE's Climate Equality Working Group we will hear from a panel of experts, who will share their experiences of using the law to highlight the unequal effects of heat on communities, and to push for better government responses. Panellists include:

Jack McLean, Solicitor, Human Rights Law Centre (HRLC) - Papunya Climate Safe Housing case.
Michaela Kroemer, Solicitor in the Müllner v. Austria - climate litigation before the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
Elisabeth Stern, Board Member, KlimaSeniorinnen Switzerland (Senior Women for Climate Protection) - successful climate litigation before the ECHR.
Elsa Ingrand, Campaigner at Notre Affaire à Tous (French climate justice organisation) - successful litigation against French government over inadequate climate action.
