Event description

Climate Notes is a multimedia installation and performance work by Anna McMichael and Louise Devenish.

Featuring six new musical works by Australian composers to explore the emotional impacts of climate change, and to propels us to consider what it feels like to live through a time when climate change affects every aspect of our lives.

For one night only, you are invited to attend an intimate live performance of these works, featuring highly acclaimed violinist Anna McMichael and contemporary percussionist Louise Devenish.

Audiences are encouraged to engage with this work in two ways: 1) by visiting the installation and contributing by writing your own ‘climate note’ to explore and communicate personal responses to climate change and 2) by attending a live performance of the new compositions for violin, percussion, electronics and video that explore these themes.

It builds on the Is This How You Feel collections of handwritten letters by leading international science researchers (including McMichael’s late father), and plant archives from the State Botanical Collection of Victoria.
