Supporting Leaders out West to build climate-ready communities

Join a new leadership programme for Leaders from West Auckland who want to strengthen their ability to respond and lead we'll through change and uncertainty.

Community leaders are already responding to the impacts of climate change in the places where people live, work, and belong. This programme is designed to strengthen the confidence, capability, and connections West Auckland leaders need, to lead well in the face of change.

Created for leaders in community and social sector settings, the programme brings together practical leadership development, reflection, connection, organisational readiness, and community-based action. It is grounded in West Auckland realities and shaped by Te Ao Mãori, Pasifika, and diverse cultural perspectives, recognising that leadership happens in relationship with people, place, and community.

Who is this for?

This programme is for leaders who are:

• working in community, social, cultural, recreational or local development settings.

• seeing the effects of climate change in their communities

• wanting to strengthen their leadership practice

• interested in practical, community-based responses

• keen to learn alongside others facing similar challenges

What you can expect

The 9 month programme comprises of four face to face workshops, four online workshops and individual coaching. We estimate a 15 hours per month committment.

We wil codesign the programme content with participants to make sure everyone gets what they need for their leadership development. For more information on the schedule click here

This programme offers a chance to step back from day-to-day pressures, connect with other local leaders, and build practical ways to lead through uncertainty and change. Whether you are already taking action or just beginning to explore what climate ready leadership could mean in your context, the programme will support you to take the next step.
