About the summit
No community within Australia remains untouched by climate change. Extreme weather events are worsening, and the impacts are reverberating throughout our communities.
As the level of government closest to the community, councils are at the heart of responding - to keep our communities safe and strengthen their resilience in the future.
The Cities Power Partnership's Climate Summit for Local Government will bring together elected officials and chief executives from councils across the country to identify key opportunities, inform practical actions, and inspire innovation, all at the local government level.
If you are a mayor, councillor, executive, manager or senior team leader at any of Australia's 537 local governments and you are looking to embed climate action into council operations, communications, community education and more, our first in-person Summit in five years is not to be missed!
This event is for councils at all stages of the climate action and resilience journey, whether you're a council with plenty of climate initiatives under your belt or just getting started. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear from inspiring case studies and experts in climate science and resilience. There will also be ample opportunity to network with other council leaders, as well as connect with leading clean energy businesses in our exhibition space.
Remember: discounted prices are available for attendees from member councils. Before purchasing your tickets, check your membership status.
