The ice sheets, ocean circulation and major ecosystems such as reefs, permafrost and the Amazon rainforest could go through change that is abrupt, self-perpetuating and essentially irreversible. These tipping points have enormous implications.

Join us and our world-leading experts for a discussion about what global climate tipping points mean for Australia and its neighbours. What are the possible futures for our climate, ecosystems and society? And how do we manage that risk?

A workshop in November 2023 convened by CSIRO brought together Australian climate researchers to discuss these points and more. The post-workshop report will be launched at this special AMOS event.
