Climate: Truth, Love, Despair, Rage
Event description
We're back in the beautiful Abel Tasman National Park, making room for the internal experience of climate breakdown.
The grief, rage, fear, love, hope, confusion....we'll be welcoming all the feels that we don't know where to put.
If you're tired of pretending that all this (*waves arms around wildly*) is ok, this one's for you.
Climate—tl;dr (truth, love, despair, rage) is rooted in principles from the Work That Reconnects, grief spaces, and communal ritual. We want you totally unmasked and weird as we gather with others who get it.
Emotional processing is a crucial part of sustaining ourselves and our communities in the face of the climate crisis, but we aren't taught how to do this.
Join us for:
A sense of connection and a little fizzle of relief from being with others who see it too
Practices to help you stay grounded in these wild times
A new understanding of the wisdom of your intense feelings (and who truly benefits when you suppress them?)
The day:
Gentle hiking in ATNP, shared BYO kai, optional swimming, amateur birding.
We'll be weaving practices from or inspired by the Work That Reconnects as we wander.
Further details & car-pooling arrangements follow after booking.
Bring the parts of yourself that have felt exiled and bewildered as everyone rushes around like everything is fine. We wanna see all of you.
Bad weather reschedule or full refund.
Spots limited as we want it nice and cosy; waitlist available.
