Climathon Wellington 2021
Event description
Calling all climate innovators and keen changemakers!
Climathon - Aotearoa's only climate themed hackathon - is happening in Wellington!
Participants have 24 hours to develop and test ideas that solve some of Te Whanganui-a-tara's gnarliest climate challenges, then pitch their ideas to a panel of judges to win prizes that can help bring their idea to life.
Tickets are free and there are some awesome prizes, including: Cash, office space, mentoring and an Outward Bound youth scholarship.
Participants are asked to come up with ideas based on three theme areas:
- Transport
- How can we move more people, with less emissions?
- Waste
- How might we keep resources in flow?
- Food Systems
- How can we build resilient food systems - from farm, to fork, and beyond?
Climathon is a place to connect with like-minded people and challenge yourself.
If you have an idea to reduce carbon emissions, build resilience to climate change in Wellington, or want to use your skills on projects that can, you need to be at Climathon 2021!!
