If a litre of soda costs $3.15 AUD, how much will you pay for a third of a litre?

Sounds a bit complicated?

If you are one of the 20% of adults who have forgotten how to calculate percentages or fractions, or you never really got them at school, don’t despair!

Now is the perfect time to learn those basic math principles in a fun and meaningful way.

What will we cover?

In this class, we will focus on understanding one of the big ideas in number sense – how to understand fractioning and partitioning from informal and practical everyday experience using concrete materials.

By the end of this class, participants will be able to:

Review fraction language and ideas using concrete materials
Add and subtract fractions
Apply knowledge of fractions in everyday situations involving addition and subtraction
