Are you eager to engage in a meaningful conversations about Closing the Gap initiatives? We invite all university students and staff to join us for the special Closing the Gap, A Conversation event, where we will explore important issues with esteemed Aboriginal Elders Uncle Frank, Aunty Roslyn and Aunty Lynette, and UniSA Aboriginal academic leader Michael Watkins, hosted by UniSA’s Wirringka Services Aboriginal Student Engagement Officer, Cindy Larkins.Â
Event Highlights:Â
- A meaningful conversation: Gain invaluable insights as Aboriginal Elders and Michael Watkins share their personal experiences and perspectives on Closing the Gap themes. Experience the power of storytelling and open dialogue in a safe setting, fostering mutual understanding and collaboration.Â
- Food and Music by Aboriginal vendors: After the discussion stay around to chat with panel members and enjoy delicious snacks with native ingredients celebrating Aboriginal culture by Something Wild, while listening to live soothing tunes from Aboriginal artist, Kyarna Rose.Â
- Networking Opportunity: Connect with like-minded individuals passionate about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander issues and Closing the Gap initiatives with an opportunity to join UniSA’s City East Reconciliation Committee.
