Clothes Swap Society Event at FABRIK

Combat fast fashion at FABRIK!

We invite you to contribute to the circular economy by coming along to our free Clothes Swap Society event.

Here's what will happen

Dig deep into your wardrobe, select and bring along up to 2-5 freshly laundered high-quality pieces of clothing, and you can take the same amount of newly selected items home with you.

Think a designer piece that didn't quite suit your style or the type of clothing that you would give to a family member or friend.

When you arrive with your pieces our lovely volunteers will give you the matching number of tokens to use during the event.

Accepted items

Women's clothing, including dresses, shirts, blouses, skirts, trousers, coats, jackets, jumpers, T-shirts, tops, shorts. All freshly laundered and preferably pressed.

What we don't accept

Men's, children's and baby clothing. Underwear, socks, pajamas, accessories, hats, shoes, sandals, thongs or gym wear.

Any items that are damaged, pilled, stained or not laundered.

Times and schedule

12 - 1pm

This is when you drop your items off and you will be given your tokens.

While you wait for the main event to begin there will be lots to do.

Don't forget you are visiting our wonderful arts and heritage centre, so while we sort the clothes, consider taking in our latest exhibition or visiting our fabulous, curated retail outlet.

Alternatively, for a coffee or a bite to eat visit Lobethal's high street, which offers a range of cafes.

1:30 - 2pm

You are welcome to come back and enjoy a glass of bubbly or wine along with some nibbles before the clothes swap begins at 2pm.

2-4pm

Clothes swapping takes place.

Left over clothes

We will donate them to our local CFS Op Shop
