Clothing Swap & Pizza Night - Rotorua
Event description
Clothing swaps are a fun way to update your wardrobe without adding to the overflowing textile waste problem.
Gather friends and up to 10 items each that you are ready to part with.
Refreshments and a drink provided while we hang the items ready for a 7pm swap.
You'll be issued a token for each garment supplied before paying for any 'new-to-you' items with your tokens.
All garments must be in clean, wearable condition only. Women's, men's and children of any size.
When: 6.30pm, Thursday, November 20th
Where: Studio 2, The Arts Village, 1240 Hinemaru St, Rotorua 3010
Tickets: $5 per person, includes pizza. REGISTRATIONS ARE ESSENTIAL.
Please arrive at 6:30pm to allow us time to hang out your clothes before the clothes swap commences at 7:00pm.
Pizza and non-alcoholic drinks will be provided whilst you mingle and wait for the clothes swap to begin.
What to bring:
- Bring a MAXIMUM of 10 garments. Please ensure the garments have NO STAINS, HOLES, and are in overall good condition. A good rule of thumb is to bring only things that you would be happy to receive yourself.
- We also ask that you please DON'T BRING garments from THE WAREHOUSE or KMART e.g. GARAGE and ANKO. We have found that people don't want them, meaning we end up with a pile of clothes from these brands after the clothes swap.
- Only bring garments you are ready to part with.
- Bring some gold coins incase you want to purchase additional garments after swapping.
How it works:
- You will get a token for each garment you have bought in to swap (10 MAXIMUM).
- Each token can be used to 'purchase' a garment.
- If you use up all your tokens, you can purchase additional garments for a gold coin donation.
