Event description
Are you looking for a fun and sustainable way to refresh your wardrobe? Join in our Clothes Swap on Sunday the 2nd of June where you will be given the opportunity to exchange up to ten gently used quality clothing items, shoes, or accessories that you no longer wear, but are still in good condition. Invite your friends and bring your family, together, we are making a difference through sustainable fashion choices.
We want everyone to feel welcome, regardless of their financial situation. That's why we've got a "no questions asked, free admission" option for anyone who might otherwise not be able to attend.
When: 10am – 12.30pm, 2nd June 2024
Where: Hamilton Community Hive, 152 Beaumont St, Hamilton

Overview of the day
10:00-10:30am : Check-in
- Meet our volunteers at the check-in counter to exchange up to 10 items for the equivalent number of tokens (these will be used later to go “shopping”!)
- While everyone checks-in and the items are being sorted and hung, you can leave the venue to grab a coffee or browse the shops along Beaumont Street.
11:00 am : Swapping
- Meet back at The Hive for 11am to get an overview of how the swapping event works, and hear from some local sustainability, fashion, and textiles experts.
- Let the swapping begin!
- All items will be sorted in types and hung on display racks.
- Change rooms and mirrors will be available on the day.
- When you have made your selection, meet our volunteers at the check-out counter to exchange your tokens for your new items of clothing.
Your new (to you) clothing is now ready for wearing!
