    Event description

Clothing The Gaps and HoMie are two Victorian certified social enterprises located on Wurundjeri Country, redefining the role of streetwear in society.

To celebrate our first and long-awaited partnership we’re throwing a Tee Party as part of the Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program on the 4th March at Collingwood Yards. Be the first to get your hands on our limited edition ‘Together On Purpose’ collab tees at the event and celebrate with us!

We’ve got an incredible line-up including live performances by seven-time ARIA nominated artist, Gamilaraay woman, Thelma Plum, and underground hip hop artist, Isaac Puerile, plus multicultural dance crew, Brothers In Arms. We’ll keep the tunes pumping all day with DJ sets by Pet$, Setwun, Tinika, and DJ PGZ. No need to step out for a feed, we’ve got food trucks and a selection of drinks by Young Henry’s, Fizzer, Bobby, Wallaby Water to keep you going.

Profits from our ticket and drink sales support the brands’ purpose; to work with young people affected by homelessness and hardship, and deliver health promotion initiatives to Aboriginal Communities.

Tickets are limited just like this collection. You don’t want to miss this one!

    About Clothing The Gaps
Clothing The Gaps is an Aboriginal business uniting people through fashion and causes, encouraging everyone to wear their values on their tee and spark conversations. You might have seen artists such as Thelma Plum, or Christine Anu at the 2022 AFL Grand Final donning their merch with a message.
Clothing The Gaps has also been the recipient of numerous awards in the last year with it’s co-founder Gunditjmara woman Laura Thompson winning the 2022 National Indigenous Fashion Awards Designer of the year, and the Australian Fashion Laureate Indigenous Fashion Designer Award, the organisation also received the Kinaway Social Enterprise award and was a finalist at the Australian Human Rights Awards.

    About HoMie
HoMie is a Melbourne-based fashion brand with a mission to provide opportunities for young people experiencing homelessness or hardship. In their most recent major campaign, the brand worked with long-time supporter, comedian, and TV personality Tommy Little alongside Whitelion Youth to raise significant funds on Youth Homelessness Matters Day in April 2022. In the same year, the brand was able to support more than 2000 hours of paid training and employment to young people affected by homelessness and hardship – to put it into context, that’s 250 days worth of work.
