Intro to Clown Workshop

This basics of clown workshop is a fast paced intro into how to perform and develop your clown character persona. We will review the foundations of clown/mime, common gags, improvisation, voice & movement. 

The first half of the workshop will focus on learning, the second half we will be rehearsing a performance, as solo or duos. Face painting will take place during the workshop. 

Miss India will lead an instructional step by step balloon twist of a flower as part of the class show! So you can choose to follow along onstage if you want to.

Doors open 6:30PM

7-7:45PM is the class show. 

Teachers

SWOOPZ is the clown persona of improv teacher Darren Saad, who has trained in clown & mime at The New School. They host & produce a show called Clown Town and wrote/starred in the short film SWOOPZ & Sunny.

Miss India is a professional balloon twist teacher & party/event clown. She has two kids she loves to entertain. She can face paint, hula dance & produces a weekly puppet web series!
